A 'net' is a short-form of 'network' and is the term used by Amateur Radio operators for a short meeting held on the air.

Once a week members of the Porthmadog & District Amateur Radio Society, together with other local Amateur Radio operators, meet together on the local repeater (GB3DW - 145.6625 MHz). Everyone is welcome, so if you're visiting the area why not tune-up and join us.

Please note that the method of access to the GB3DW repeater is through the use of a 1750 Hz tone burst and not a CTCSS tone of 110.9 Hz as specified elsewhere on the Internet.
