About the Porthmadog & District Amateur Radio Society

The Porthmadog and District Amateur Radio Society was formed to promote, inform and support all Amateur Radio operators, short wave listeners and those who have a general interest in this fascinating hobby.

On the third Thursday of each month the Society holds a regular monthly meeting and everyone is welcome.

Members of the Society can often be found in the community running special event stations, raising money for local charities, visiting youth groups (Scouts, Guides and Sea Cadets) and delivering sessions at schools.

In addition, some members of the Society are authorised to run Amateur Radio training courses on behalf of the Radio Society of Great Britain.
